During our recent visits to China, we stayed at the Mercure Chengdu ChunXi Taikoo Li Hotel. With a vast selection of hotels in Chengdu, we narrowed down our options based on a list of our must-haves. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the seamless and efficient check-in process.
The lobby is bright and spacious, featuring a waiting area and a resting area for afternoon tea and drinks. As soon as you enter, there is free tea and warm mineral water, giving a very friendly feeling. The staff was incredibly professional and welcoming, ensuring that we felt comfortable right away.

Spacious Room
The room was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a fruit basket and complimentary bottles of water, both of which were replenished daily.
The room was very spacious, immaculately clean, and well-equipped with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The modern design and decor were inviting, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
Housekeeping came in daily and our room was always sparkling when we returned each day.
Optional add-on breakfast was also good. The menu featured a mix of local and international cuisine, and we were impressed by the variety of options available to suit different tastes and preferences. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, providing the perfect start to our day.
Free Complimentary
One of the highlights of our stay at the Mercure Chengdu ChunXi Taikoo Li Hotel was the thoughtful complimentary services provided by the hotel. There was a table with three types of drinks available for us to enjoy at any time of the day. It was so touchful during cold weather.
Additionally, each day we were treated to either complimentary ice cream or afternoon tea set, which added a special touch to our experience. We particularly enjoyed the delightful afternoon tea.
On our first night, we also received a complimentary fruit platter delivered to our room, which was a refreshing and appreciated gesture. The attention to detail in these small yet meaningful offerings made us feel valued.
Another great feature was the laundry room, which was fully stocked with everything we needed, including detergent, laundry nets, laundry bags, and even bottles of water to enjoy while we waited.
Our only complaint was the long wait for the elevators during peak hours in the morning.
Prime Location
The hotel’s location is fantastic and situated in the heart of Chengdu. It is conveniently close to the vibrant Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, two of the city’s most popular spots for shopping and dining. This prime location makes it easy to explore the surrounding attractions and fully immerse ourselves in the energy of Chengdu.
Note that although it is not very far, you will still requires about a 10-minute walk. Additionally, at night, food stalls near the hotel entrance offer the perfect opportunity to try some local street food.

All in all, our stay at the Mercure Chengdu Chunxi Taikoo Li was truly exceptional. From the outstanding service to the thoughtful complimentary amenities and ideal location, every aspect of our visit was carefully curated to ensure a memorable experience. The check-in process was quick, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel offers affordable prices and a beautiful environment, making it an excellent choice for accommodations.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with our stay at Mercure Chengdu Chunxi Taikoo Li Hotel. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu and look forward to returning in the future.
