Nostalgia Hotel Kuanzhai Alley may not be particularly luxurious, but it excels in meeting the needs of its guests. It was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our visit to China. The rooms were clean and tidy. The standout feature was the excellent service provided by both the reception staff and other personnel. Furthermore, its convenient location andwithin walking distance of Kuanzhai Alley and the beautiful People’s Park. All this makes it an ideal choice for travelers.

Nostalgia Hotel (Kuanzhai Alley)
The cosy Nostalgia Hotel (Kuanzhai Alley) is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, just a 10-minute walk to Kuanzhai Alley and about 6 minutes from the Tonghuimen station exit. The location is peaceful yet still close to street markets, restaurants, and main attractions. This convenient setting is ideal for those who wish to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city center.
Although the hotel is not very big, surely it’s a great pick for those who don’t want to spend a lot on accommodation in Chengdu.

Helpful and Friendly Staff
The lobby was beautifully designed and exuded a sense of peace. Upon our arrival, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and friendliness, assisting us with the check-in process. The staff truly stood out; they provided us with numerous tips and recommendations, making us feel right at home. This was the best hospitality we experienced during our time in China.

Beautifully Decorated Room
Although the room was slightly small, it was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. The room is modern, cozy, and aesthetically pleasing. Daily room service was a bonus, providing free water, snacks, and even a small gift to make us feel special.
While an optional breakfast is available, we chose not to take it since there were plenty of excellent dining options nearby.
Drink and Complimentary Supper
The hotel service was very impressive. It was a nice touch that the hotel offers refreshing drinks and complimentary supper (porridge, sweet soup) daily. The hot ginger tea was particularly delightful and comforting during the cold weather.
They also offer free washers and dryers for guest use, which is incredibly convenient after long days of travel. However, there are only two washing and drying units available, so there may be a wait at times. Thankfully, the hotel staff is more than willing to assist with complimentary laundry service when needed.

The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional, and its location is very convenient for guests. The customer service is top-notch, contributing to a highly positive experience overall. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu.
